Competent Person - Scaffolds – 8 hours minimum

A graduate of this class is qualified to supervise the assembly and dismantling of scaffolding. Competent Person Training includes:
· Types of Access Scaffolds
· Standards and Regulations
· Foundation Requirements
· Platforms and Platform Materials
· Scaffold Erection & Dismantling Procedures
· Personal Protection Equipment

 
 Scaffolding - Dismantling/Erector – 4 hours

The purpose of this course is to provide scaffold erectors and dismantlers with the regulations, safety guidelines and procedures needed to recognize and eliminate hazards. This is OSHA mandated training for workers who dismantle or erect scaffolding. Training is done in accordance with 1926 Subpart L Appendix D.

Retraining is required when new types of scaffolds are introduced, changes occur that the workers are not familiar with or if employee’s actions indicate retraining is needed.
